Hi! I'm a UNT alum with a degree in computer science. In the spirit of Do-It-Yourself, I'm summoning my years of software and web development to design custom gym management software that will hopefully put the ones other gyms use to shame, and make DBG one of the most streamlined and modern rock gyms out there.
I've been climbing since my cub scout days, and started taking climbing seriously about four years ago while beginning as a student at UNT. I got psyched with some of the best climbers in the state at the climbing wall there, but inevitably grew to want more. An independent gym for climbers in Denton has been a desire for every student climber at one time or another, and recently I decided to help make that a reality.
Proudest climb:
Lobster Claw (V5), Hueco Tanks
Favorite climb:
Sign of the Cross (V4), Hueco Tanks

I'm currently a senior at UNT, about to graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering. After years of sitting through engineering classes and countless small building projects, I plan to design and construct some of the most aggressive and entertaining climbing walls in the state.
In the eighth grade my class took a trip to a local climbing gym, and I have been enjoying the sport ever since. Many of my climbing goals have changed and grown throughout that time, but one remains the same. I have always wanted to be a part of opening a gym of my own, and the time to reach that goal is now.
Proudest climb:
Africa Arete (V7), Horseshoe Canyon Ranch
Favorite climb:
See Spot Run (V6), Hueco Tanks
